Harborline Plumbing

Oct 6, 2026 by

Harborline Plumbing is a conversion-focused concept for a fictional residential plumbing company, designed to show how a local service website can balance trust, clarity, and speed. The visual system pairs deep navy with warm orange accents to create a dependable, professional feel, while the page structure is built around the homeowner’s decision-making process: understanding the service, seeing proof of credibility, finding reassurance, and taking action. Calls, appointment requests, service information, reviews, and FAQs are all positioned to reduce friction and make the next step obvious.

The prototype was also designed with performance and accessibility in mind from the outset. It uses lightweight HTML, CSS, and minimal dependency-free JavaScript, with no external fonts, frameworks, autoplay media, or heavyweight components. Responsive layouts, strong color contrast, predictable media dimensions, reduced-motion support, and prominent mobile contact options help keep the experience fast and usable across devices. The result is a polished local-service landing page that demonstrates both front-end restraint and a clear understanding of conversion-focused web design.

Afterglow Coffee & Sound

Oct 6, 2026 by

Afterglow Coffee & Sound is a fictional independent coffee roastery and listening bar created to explore a more expressive, hospitality-focused design direction. The visual identity combines bold color, oversized typography, grainy textures, rounded cards and playful editorial layouts to create a distinctive brand that feels energetic, memorable and intentionally unconventional.

The site pairs strong visual storytelling with lightweight interaction, including animated typography, menu tabs, moving marquees, scroll-triggered effects and a draggable events section. The project was designed to demonstrate how a highly stylized hospitality website can still remain usable, responsive and performance-conscious without relying on heavy frameworks or animation libraries.

Northstar Security Labs

Oct 6, 2026 by

Northstar Security Labs was created as a modern cybersecurity concept focused on trust, clarity, and technical confidence. Rather than leaning on the familiar visual language of glowing code, hacker imagery, and heavy neon effects, the design uses a restrained dark interface, cool blue and cyan accents, bold typography, and subtle grid-based details to create a more polished and credible identity. A custom North Star motif runs through the visual system, reinforcing the idea of guidance, direction, and helping clients navigate complex security risks.

The site was also designed with performance as a core part of the creative direction. The prototype avoids external fonts, large hero images, frameworks, and unnecessary JavaScript, relying instead on lightweight CSS, inline SVG graphics, and carefully structured responsive layouts. The result is a visually distinctive cybersecurity website that demonstrates how strong branding, accessibility, and Core Web Vitals can be considered together from the earliest stages of the design process.

Wildline Studio

Oct 6, 2026 by

Brief:
Wildline Studios is a fictional landscape and outdoor-living design brand created to showcase a refined, editorial approach to modern residential web design. The goal was to build a site that feels premium, calm and highly visual, with a strong connection between architecture, planting and outdoor living. The design uses oversized typography, natural textures, warm neutral tones and carefully paced imagery to create a sense of space and sophistication without relying on a conventional service-business layout.

The site was hand-coded in HTML, CSS and JavaScript with performance and accessibility considered alongside the visual design. Subtle scroll effects, animated section transitions, an interactive process sequence, before-and-after comparison, responsive service imagery and a mobile-friendly gallery add movement without overwhelming the content. The result is a custom front-end concept that demonstrates how a highly styled portfolio or service website can still remain responsive, lightweight and focused on usability.
